Mattel’s best selling doll is getting a Korean makeover. Barbie will soon be sporting traditional Korean garb and touting Korea’s designer brands. This is the first time in Barbie’s 45-year career that she will be getting the Korean treatment. Korean Barbie will be on exhibition in Seoul from Dec. 10 – Jan. 28 at the Seoul Arts Center to mark her 45th birthday.

Park Jung-ah of Jewelry has been chosen as the face of a popular Japanese clothing brand Cindy Jayro. The photo shoot for the catalogue began on Friday in a studio in southern Seoul. Park Jung-ah had already taken part in a separate photo shoot in February in Japan for Cindy Jayro’s Spring/Summer collection. Park’s management agency said the clothing brand is popular among women in their 20s. Park Jung-ah was once again chosen as a model as her image of a mature and professional young woman overlapped with the brand concept. Sporty fall/winter clothes constituted most of the latest photo shoot.
