Apple iPhone 3G

Unless you’ve been trapped in a cave somewhere today, you should’ve heard about Apple’s new iPhone 3G. It’s twice as fast as the original and only half the price.

The iPhone will run on AT&T’s highspeed 3G network alongside built-in GPS mapping, Microsoft Exchange support, desktop-class web browser, apps and Apple’s New MobileMe service. You’ll find Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, a 3.5 inch 480×320 pixel display, 2.0 megapixel geotagging camera, accessible SIM card and a slick new case.

The iPhone 3G will weigh 4.7 ounces and come in 8GB ($199 w/ 2 year contract) or 16GB ($299 w/ 2 year contract) sizes in black or white (16GB only).

Seeing Sounds

It’s been 4 years since funk-rock group N.E.R.D. released an album. The last being Fly or Die. Why the long wait in between albums?

Williams, who recently wrapped a record with Madonna, told MTV last October that he was “just waiting for the right sounds,” comparing making music to going fishing. “You fish for it every day, and either you get it or you don’t,” he said. “And sometimes I have to wait. What I usually do with the N.E.R.D. albums is we wait a lot.”

The wait will soon be over though, when Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, along with friend and collaborator Shae Haley, drop their new album Seeing Sounds on June 10th, 2008.
