Apple iPhone 3G
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008Unless you’ve been trapped in a cave somewhere today, you should’ve heard about Apple’s new iPhone 3G. It’s twice as fast as the original and only half the price.
The iPhone will run on AT&T’s highspeed 3G network alongside built-in GPS mapping, Microsoft Exchange support, desktop-class web browser, apps and Apple’s New MobileMe service. You’ll find Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, a 3.5 inch 480×320 pixel display, 2.0 megapixel geotagging camera, accessible SIM card and a slick new case.
The iPhone 3G will weigh 4.7 ounces and come in 8GB ($199 w/ 2 year contract) or 16GB ($299 w/ 2 year contract) sizes in black or white (16GB only).

Details continue to trickle out about Panasonic’s PMA 2008 lineup of digital cameras. Panasonic’s UK site has announced one of their new FS-series shooters, the DMC-FS3. No picture, unfortunately — that’s its DMC-FS2 little sis to the right. Nothing spectacular to report on this point and shoot: 8.1 megapixel CCD, 3x Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT optical zoom lens, 2.5-inch LCD, and 21 scene modes. At least it features some proper optical image stabilization to keep things steady. Perhaps the most interesting thing here is the “pukweb04-dyn-news-onthemove-toyota” nonsense in the camera’s URL. Come on Panny, get it together, PMA opens in just two more days.
