Along with getting married to Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey has dropped a brand spanking new video, “Bye Bye.” The song is pretty sentimental and plays tribute to music’s fallen heroes — Luther Vandross, Pavarotti, O.D.B. — plus late family, friends and her dog, Jack.
I’m glad getting married didn’t cause Usher to get soft on us. I’m lovin’ his latest single, Love in This Club — the first single from his 2008 album, Here I Stand.
The beat is sick and the dance routine near the end of the video shows us why he’s still the prince of R&B.

Legendary Madonna gyrating her hips against Justin Timberlake is sure to cause a stir in the entertainment industry. 4 Minutes is the first single off her new album Hard Candy, and features a cameo by Timbaland who helped co-produce the song.

Danity Kane may be the first out of the gates with their sophomore album, but Day 26 will be right on their heels this Tuesday, March 25th with their own album entitled “Day 26.”
The lead single will be “Got Me Going” and it definitely has a smooth vibe to it. So the question begs, who’s got the edge? As much as I love the boys, I think they girls may have won this match. What do you think?

In this season of rumors, we were trying to take it with a pinch of salt; we ended up with enough salt to make some Margaritas here at TUAW HQ, such was our skepticism — and we were, it would seem, quite wrong to have doubted.
Thankfully Gear Live’s Andru Edwards & Nate True decided to show us all what we can expect, with a full-blown video of the latest firmware, embedded after the break (all 8 minutes of it) with their permission. There’s a tonne of exciting stuff shown off — saving of pins on Google Maps, cell-tower triangulation with a single click (sweet!) and the long-missed hybrid Google Map (my preferred view). Throw in the re-arranging of the home screen and multiple SMS recipients (something we’d quite like to use over the holiday period) — my iPhone is feeling very inadequate already.
